Specialty Films for Targeted Uses – Boost Packaging Quality & Functionality
Note: All films are compatible with sugarcane pulp molded substrates. Choose based on application (e.g., food type, shelf life, temperature needs) and sustainability goals.
PLA Film (Polylactic Acid)
Core Features:
A bio-based film derived from renewable plant resources (e.g., corn starch, sugarcane).
Advantages:
1. Excellent biodegradability (compostable under industrial conditions), aligning with eco-friendly product positioning.
2. Good mechanical strength (tensile & tear resistance) for surface protection of sugarcane pulp products.
3. Non-toxic, food-safe, and odorless—suitable for food contact packaging.
Limitations:
Poor heat resistance (heat distortion temperature ~60°C), not ideal for hot-fill applications.
Brittle at low temperatures and prone to moisture absorption, requiring proper storage.
