Co-ex PE/EVOH/PE Film
Specialty Films for Targeted Uses – Boost Packaging Quality & Functionality
Note: All films are compatible with sugarcane pulp molded substrates. Choose based on application (e.g., food type, shelf life, temperature needs) and sustainability goals.
Co-ex PE/EVOH/PE Film (Co-extruded PE/Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol/PE)
Core Features: Multi-layer Co-extruded Film (3+ Layers)with EVOH as the core barrier layer. Advantages:
1. Superior oxygen/water vapor barrier performance (EVOH layer blocks gas/moisture penetration). If the lamination effect works well, the OTR can reach below 0.2cc/(m²·day·atm), or even lower, largely extending product shelf life.
2. Excellent flexibility and sealability, adhering tightly to sugarcane pulp substrates.
3 . High transparency, preserving the natural appearance of pulp products.
4. Food-safe and resistant to oil/grease—suitable for fatty food packaging.
Limitations:
Higher cost compared to single-layer films due to co-extrusion technology.
Limited biodegradability (PE layers are non-biodegradable), less eco-friendly than bio-based alternatives.
