PHA Film (Polyhydroxyalkanoate)
Specialty Films for Targeted Uses – Boost Packaging Quality & Functionality
Note: All films are compatible with sugarcane pulp molded substrates. Choose based on application (e.g., food type, shelf life, temperature needs) and sustainability goals.
PHA Film (Polyhydroxyalkanoate)
Core Features:
A bio-based, fully biodegradable film produced via microbial fermentation.
Advantages:
- Superior biodegradability (degrades in soil, marine, and home compost environments)—the most eco-friendly option.
- Food-safe, non-toxic, and renewable (derived from plant oils/sugars).
- Good flexibility and processability, suitable for complex-shaped pulp products.
Limitations:
Highest cost among all films due to its limited production scale.
Lower mechanical strength and heat resistance (~50-70°C) than PLA/PET.
Sensitivity to moisture and UV light requires proper packaging and storage.
